Why Join?

Thank you for expressing interest in joining the CNHSOU. In order to serve you effectively, we need to know more about your department and your needs. On this page we include some simple steps that will help us get to know each other.

Membership for Operators

The first step towards membership with the CNHSOU is a friendly meeting with the SOU Commander. He will explain our organization in detail and answer any questions you may have. This meeting is informational only, and does not obligate you to join. Please contact Cmdr. Robert Cormier to arrange a prospective member meeting and fill out an application.

Once we receive your application, you must go through our selection process which includes a medical screening, PT & firearms test, and an Oral Board review. The selection process takes place twice yearly in the Spring and Fall.

Membership for Towns

Towns that are interested in joining may contact either the Commander for a presentation or the SOU President for a meeting to review and sign the Memorandum of Understanding. We look forward to partnering with you.
