About Us

Our Organization

The Central New Hampshire Special Operations Unit is a 5013C nonprofit organization that provides critical incident management services to the law enforcement communities of New Hampshire.

You can also think of us as a coalition of New Hampshire communities, working together to protect and support each other.

As a member of our team, your department gains access to the resources, manpower and expertise of dozens of your neighboring departments.

Your officers receive the best training in the industry, provided by the NTOA. Your citizens benefit from the peace of mind that comes from unwavering confidence in your capability and professionalism.

Membership is a mutual relationship. In return for your officers and support, we offer specialized services that enable you to resolve critical incidents with confidence. As Cdr. Robert Cormier likes to explain it, we take people from our member agencies, equip them with the best training and equipment available, and offer them back to their agencies.

Our Services

A traditional SWAT team's expertise focuses on managing potentially violent situations through teamwork, tactics and, if necessary, force. A Special Operations Unit extends this traditional function to include any incident that requires special training or extensive resources.

Whether you need to serve a dangerous warrant, protect a visiting VIP or search for a missing person, we can help.

Our People

We have a large team of operators, backed by a staff of professional volunteers that includes doctors, paramedics, negotiators and IT personnel.

Our team wouldn't exist without the support of our member communities. In fact, each of our operators is an officer from one of our member agencies.

We train your men and women to be capable, confident leaders and highly skilled special operations operators. Each one loves what they do, and their enthusiasm is contagious. Many chiefs have remarked at the positive impact our operators have on the morale in their departments.
